| | tired | ] | YES! I finally get to use the internet after 3 internet-less days! XDDD
So. Today is the first day of school and we had to do this task work thing. Went to the supermart to buy things and had to ask 5 ppl at the supermart and from our university different questions. made a full of ourselves. but come to think of it now, its rather fun! (though my shoulder is like nearly breaking from the load of my bag....><
Super tired now so im juz going to write wadeva i can think of very randomly. Anyway, there are FIVE people IN TOTAL in the summer course, including Jasmine and me. One is a Spanish, the other a Canadian and there is also a Japanese girl who has lived in the US her whole life. School is from 8.50am to 4.30pm everyday (we were let off at 4pm today cos we were fast!) and we have to take the train from Sannomiya Station (which is like a 5-10 mins walk from our weekly condo: i will talk about how much i love the location of our condo later...ohohoho) to Gakuentoshi every morning, which takes around 25mins. yeah. The teachers and mentors are really nice ppl and we are going with the group of mentors for a Kyoto tour this Friday and then ending the day by going to an Izakaya. otanoshimishiteru!
OK.... since yesterday was a Sunday, Jasmine and I went to Nankinmachi and Harborland. Taking Hiro-kun, the mentor's advice, we walked all the way from our apartment to Nankinmachi and then to Harborland. Very coincidentally, they are also having an ISLANDWIDE SALE, so we had a great time shopping! srsly, the prices of the clothes are rather reasonable.Bought some souvenirs and had to lug them everywhere. My poor shoulders. OK, for the pictures, go facebook yeah. not much time left. have to hurry up if not we7ll not have time for dinner and homework. |

| | content | ] | Went to watch 海角七号 with Dudu today. Really liked it. Normal characters, normal looking cast, but that's what made it special. Because it's normal and not overly cliched. The pehpeh who insisted on playing his instrument was really funny. And I liked listening to them squabble in hokkien 8D The music was really quite good too.
Didn't really understand the ending though?
*Dudu> 都是你的错,现在一想到范逸臣就联想到他在街边小便被狗仔拍到的事件。。。让我哭笑不得。=__= |

I've been working on this paper for the entire afternoon (maybe more than that) and i think that all i've written are unsubstantiated crap. Agh. |

I think it's more appropriate to call it Mooncake festival than Lantern Festival. Srsly, who actually carries lanterns during the festival other than kids. And those that they carry look absurd. On top of being able to play music and light up (with the help of batteries), apparently now they have those that can BLOW BUBBLES as well. *faints* I still like the traditional kind. *sad* I WANT TO BURN THEM. ok wrong purpose...i actually juz want to carry them around. really. ( MAF 08 photos ) Have a cog psy test tmr but though i've finished studying, i feel like i don't remember a thing. And the best thing? it's on memory and attention etc.

| | listless | ] | After all the trouble I took to wake up so early to prepare, only to realise that the trip's cancelled WHEN i was prepared to go out. Hell knows what would have happened had I not checked the IVLE announcements before I left. Not that I really want to go, but having it cancelled all of a sudden after I have forsaken my sleeping time is just INFURIATING.
Great. So now I can't even go back to sleep because I have so much work to do and I have no idea what time I will sleep till if I go back to sleep. HAH! |
|
|
| a quick one. |
[Sep. 13th, 2008|12:44 am] |
| [ | mood |
| | rushed | ] |
Ok I should probably be sleeping now since I stupidly signed up for tmr's gem fieldtrip. And the gullible person I am, I thought they'd at least let us meet at the mrt or some busstop, but NO. We have to meet at the Tiong Bahru Market and Foodcentre. Gah. Which I have no idea how to go. Ahhhh! And everyone I ask gives me a DIFFERENT set of instructions. OMG. PLUS I'm going with a v pissed off friend who is really stressed from school work. And knowing her, I'd better not grumble when she's in one of her DONOTPISSME OFF mode. What the hell. Just hoping that we wont get lost and end up taking the taxi (because I dont like to spend money on taxis thank u) or reaching there late.
Anyway, I'm thinking of going for the USA Work and Travel Summer Programme during next year's April-Sept period. But only B2 is game enough (or should i say heck-care enough about money 8D) to agree to go too. We need to pull more people in with us...So we went for the talk today, and learnt that we'd have to sign up for 2 jobs first, then pay $50 for the road-show registration, after which we will then attend the road show, AT WHICH, we will be interviewed by our prospective employers on the spot. THEN, they/he/she will decide on the spot whether we get the job or NOT. K, let's hope B2 and I get the same job so we'll be together. GAH. It's no fun going different states!
Also, we asked the guy about his expenses there and TADA! he said he earned around USD 2000+ in the 2+mths he worked there and spent over USD(SGD???!)10K! omg. nvm, mum said money's not a problem. Never knew we were that rich. (Which we are NOT.)That she can actually say that. Oh well. Shan't think about that now.
Kk, off to bed.

Though it's National Day today, the papers are full of photos from the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony. Pages and pages of them. Where did all the NDP photos and NDP special features go? |
